NFL Week 16: The Best Bets to Play with the Odds

A number of teams are still in the hunt when it comes to being in the NFL playoffs, and this weekend is going to go a long way in determining the fate of a number of those teams.

When you are looking at NFL odds for week 16, a number of games jump out right off the bat, and today we give our opinion on what are the best bets for the weekend and what you should be looking for.

Houston Texans at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+3, 50.5)

The Buccaneers have rediscovered their offense the last few weeks, as quarterback Jameis Winston has been on fire, last week throwing for over 400 yards in a win at Ford Field in Detroit. The Texans can’t afford to take a game off, as they are trying to hold off the Titans for the AFC South title, and the two will meet next week one last time with the division likely still on the line.

The game itself is a toss up, but you can bet with Winston and Texans QB DeShaun Watson trying to out duel each other, the over 50.5 is the play in this game. Take it and watch the points pile up.

Bet: Over 50.5

Baltimore Ravens at Cleveland Browns (+10, 48)

The Ravens were beat up badly by the Browns in the first meeting in Baltimore in late September, and with the #1 seed in the AFC in sight, they are not only looking for a win but a little revenge against the brown and orange at First Energy Stadium. Cleveland was torched last week by the Cardinals for over 400 yards, as Arizona broke a six-game losing streak with relative ease.

Look for Lamar Jackson to cement his place as the MVP of the league as he and the Ravens defense put on a show against the Browns, who some say gave up against the Cardinals last week.

Bet: Ravens -10

Oakland Raiders at Los Angeles Chargers (-5.5, 45.5)

The Raiders fell in their final ever game in Oakland last week to the Jaguars, who had not won a game on the west coast in over a decade. Now they travel to Los Angeles to take on the Chargers, who were blasted by the Vikings in a tough home loss a week ago.

Both these teams are making golf and vacation plans, and neither team has anything to play for other than pride in this AFC West showdown. With that you have to like the home team in the Chargers to rebound, as they should be able to hold Derek Carr and the Raiders offense in check.

Bet: Chargers -5.5
