It’s been three weeks since Chiefs MVP QB Pat Mahomes dislocated his kneecap against the Broncos, and there’s a real hope that he might be able to return this Sunday against the Titans.
The decision on if Mahomes can be back under center may not come until Sunday, but ESPN’s Ed Werder said on Wednesday that there’s internal hope that Mahomes can be back pushing backup Matt Moore back to the bench.
Andy Reid says plan is to increase Patrick Mahomes workload in practice this week and see how responds. He says no answer now as to him returning vs. #Titans. “We won’t put him out there unless it’s safe to do so,” Reid says. pic.twitter.com/uxn9NCVF5w

A big part about Mahomes playing will be how he reacts to that added workload, and if his knee can handle it.
If he can, all signs point to him being back Sunday for the Chiefs, who are coming off a huge home win over the Vikings Sunday.
