With the NFL season still about two months away and training camps getting set to start soon, it’s time to relive the 2019 NFL Draft and start to think about some young players that are going to make a big impact this season.
There are already odds out about what new young player is going to step up and have a huge impact in the NFL this season, and Vegas has released their odds for who they think is going to win the 2019 NFL Rookie of the year.
You can see these odds at various sites, but also can place your hard earned cash on the odds using a 4njbets promo code for what player you think is going to step up and have a big first rookie season.
As usual Vegas has a pair of quarterbacks at the top of the list, and when you look at the top three players that have the best odds to win the rookie of the year, two of the three are at the sports most important position.
Here’s the top three leading odds as the 2019 NFL Rookie of the year as seen by the folks laying the odds in Las Vegas.
Kyler Murray Arizona Cardinals QB 5/2
Murray was the first overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, so these odds are not a shock as a ton of eyes will be on the new quarterback of the Cardinals.
The first overall pick was basically handed the Cards starting QB job when the team traded Josh Rosen to the Miami Dolphins.
Look for Murray to have some gaudy numbers in his first year, but also to be playing on a team that isn’t very good.
Dwayne Haskins Washington Redskins QB 7/1
The former Ohio State quarterback is going to be playing with a chip on his shoulder after being passed by in the first round by his hometown team in the New York Giants.
Haskins will have a much better team around him in the Redskins, a team that likely with some solid quarterback play can win anywhere from 7-9 games.
The Redskins will do whatever they can to give Haskins the job day one, as Alex Smith won’t be healthy and Haskins should beat out Colt McCoy.
Look for Haskins to have a better season than Murray in year one.
Josh Jacobs Oakland Raiders RB 9/1
The Raiders are a team that is looking to reverse their fortunes from a year ago, and have high hopes for their rookie running back in Jacobs.
Look for Jacobs to be the Raiders workhorse back starting in training camp, and as long as he can stay healthy he will have plenty of chances to be the best rookie once the 2019 season is over.
The one thing about Jacobs is that the Raiders have to keep a leash on the amount of carries, as they don’t want their stud back to get injured playing in garbage time.
If Jacobs can stay on his feet and get some help from the Raiders passing game with new WR Antonio Brown, he very well could challenge for the top rookie of the year award.
