With Week 11 right around the corner, RotoGrinders.com contributor “Louiescards” has some plays to help you with your DraftKings teams.
Below, he’ll identify both a top play along with a value option at each position to serve as a guide while you build your lineups for cash games (head-to-head, double-ups and 50/50’s).
Derek Carr $6,300 – Carr has become one of the better fantasy options over the past month of football and steps into a great matchup this week against a weak Lions secondary. He is taking advantage of the weapons he has in Cooper and Crabtree and we can expect a big game from the second-year QB here. Detroit ranks near the bottom in most of the major categories I look for when selecting a QB and have allowed a 105.7 QB rating on the season.
(Value) Case Keenum $5,000 – If it is value you seek, then at a minimum price point Case Keenum makes for an interesting play this week against Baltimore. By now you should know that Baltimore has been one of the friendlier defenses to QB and WR on the season. There is certainly risk involved here considering the offense has not been good even with the guy they thought was more capable to do the job in the first place. With that said, it won’t take much for Keenum to give us a solid return and reach value for our cash games.
Adrian Peterson $6,800 – Green Bay is one of the teams I have targeted with RBs on the year as they have really struggled in that department. It just so happens that Peterson is back to being the electric runner we have seen in years passed. He is working on three straight 100-yard games and with the Vikings handing him the ball more he should have a very good shot to keep that streak going.
(Value) Charcandrick West $4,500 – When Charles went down I was one of only a few that openly questioned whether West would see the role that everyone thought he would. Well I was wrong. West has essentially taken over the full-time gig with what looks to be a very similar skill set to Charles. His price point is way too low for a RB facing one of the worst rushing defenses in the league this week.
Mike Evans $7,300 – With DraftKings offering a full point per reception system it is hard to ignore just how good Evans is in this format. He is seeing a ton of targets and while the conversion rate has not been exceptional the results are still great. When you consider the fact that he is putting up these big numbers without reaching the end zone then you have to realize there is even more room for upside with him.
(Value) Danny Amendola $4,000 – This is one of it not the most obvious value play on the board this week with the Patriots losing Edelman to a broken foot. Amendola saw 11 targets last week against the Giants in that thrilling win and should be in line for a very similar game against the Bills. He is hauling in a very high percentage of his targets on the year and will be a guy you can roster in all formats.
Rob Gronkoswki $7,700 – Let’s not forget about Gronk in this situation, too. He had one of his best games of the season against this Buffalo team and is likely to get a few more looks than he has seen recently. This is one of those weeks where it is more than ok to roster a WR (Amendola) and a TE (Gronk) from the same team.
(Value) Antonio Gates $4,800 – With the Chargers coming off of the bye week I expect Gates to be about as healthy as we have seen him recently. Rivers has no problem looking his way and has given him double-digit targets more often than not this year. With the full point-per-reception scoring on DraftKings, you should be inclined to go with a guy like Gates if you’re not paying up for Gronk this week. With the expected workload, he doesn’t even have to reach the end zone to pay off this price point, which should make him a very popular option.
