Redskins wide receiver Jamison Crowder has been downgraded to out for the Week 10 road game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday according to the team’s Twitter account.
Crowder has not played since Week 5 as he struggles to return from an ankle injury. There was some hope he could return this Sunday after he practiced on Thursday but ultimately the team decided he was not healthy enough to take the field against the Bucs.
It is a major blow for the Redskins as the Bucs have been exploited by slot receivers this season, putting Maurice Harris firmly in play with Crowder now officially out. Josh Doctson and Michael Floyd will be in three-wide sets with Harris, but neither are viable options on the outside.
