Redskins cornerback Josh Norman fulfilled a lifelong dream by running with the bulls in Pamplona, Spain this week according to Raymond Mora of the New York Daily News.
And Norman wasn’t content to merely run with the bulls. According to Deadspin.com, there is a video of Norman actually leaping over a bull instead of just running away from it. “I had to face the bull straight on,” Norman said on his Instagram story after the fact. “It was fun. It was worth it. It was really worth it.”
Norman has been talking about his desire to participate in the annual ritual since his days with the Carolina Panthers and he appears to have emerged from the experience unscathed.
We cannot imagine that his employers with the Redskins were thrilled with the stunt, however, and there is no indication the veteran corner asked for or received permission beforehand.
Had he hurt himself, the team could have placed him on the non-injury football list and withheld his $11 million 2019 salary.
We’re guessing team officials will have a discussion with Norman about the entire incident either before or when he arrives at training camp.
