New York Jets offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg could bring quarterback Michael Vick over from the Philadelphia Eagles, if they decide to release him.
He’s due a bonus soon, and they are probably going to ask him to take a pay cut.
Mornhinweg has worked with Brett Favre, Steve Young, and Jeff Garcia. While OC for the Eagles, his offense had a four-year run of ranking in the top 8 in scoring.
Michael Vick had 2 total TDs while leading team to score 23 or more only twice in 2012, but did it 15 times 2010-2011; That ends up as 17 times in 34 starts. Current Jets QB Mark Sanchez has done that only 18 times in 61 starts. Neither QB has had good offensive line play over the past few seasons.
Vick, who was out two seasons while serving his sentence and spent a third as a back-up, will be 33 before the season begins. Sanchez will turn 27 this November.
Hit “Like” if you think Michael Vick is an upgrade over Mark Sanchez!
