Tony Gonzalez Gets His First Postseason TD in Over 6 Years As Falcons Up 13-0 Early

Atlanta Falcons TE Tony Gonzalez got away with a little vet move (a little tug on a jersey), then made a surreal TD catch on a play that is a lock to join his regal highlight reel. Atlanta leads the Seattle Seahawks 13-0 with 9:12 left in the 2nd quarter.

Gonzalez’s last playoff TD was January 6th, 2007, receiving from then-Kansas City Chiefs QB Trent Green in a road loss to the Indianapolis Colts.

Gonzalez is in his second season with Atlanta, trying to help fifth-year head coach Mike Smith get his first postseason win. They defense has been swarming early, forcing a fumble on RB Marshawn “Beast Mode” Lynch. Pete Carroll’s team was behind 14-0 last week on the road against the Washington Redskins, so we know they’re not folding.
