Just a few days after he helped the franchise win their second Super Bowl, it was announced by owner Steve Bisciotti that the Ravens will be building a statue to honor retired LB Ray Lewis.

“I think he set himself apart in Baltimore sports history,” Bisciotti said of Lewis, “and we will certainly look into it and I would not be surprised if there is one there in the next year or two.”

Lewis‘ career ended on the games biggest stage, as he was a part of the Ravens 34-31 win over the Niners Sunday at the SuperDome in New Orleans as part of Super Bowl XLVII.

He played all of his Hall of Fame 17-year career in Baltimore with the Ravens, and retires a two-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year and 12-time Pro Bowl linebacker.
