Ravens TE Dennis Pitta Signs Second-Round Tender

The Ravens have gotten their tight end under contract, as today Dennis Pitta signed his $2.023 million second-round restricted tender.

Last season the 28-year-old set career highs in catches (61), yards (669), and touchdowns (7) in a breakout 2012 campaign. He finished as the No. 7 overall fantasy tight end.

Pitta’s production is likely to continue to increase in 2013 with Anquan Boldin gone to San Francisco.

Pitta is scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent at the end of the 2013-14 season. The Ravens have stated they want to sign Pitta to a long-term deal and negotiations are likely to go on throughout the season.
