The home of Patriots TE Aaron Hernandez will be served with another warrant according to ABC News after the TE reportedly “destroyed his home security system,” an investigator said.
The report says that the system destroyed included video surveillance, and was smashed intentionally. The report also says a cell phone was handed over “in pieces” by Hernandez’s attorneys.
Police also want to know why the house was cleaned from head to toe by a team of house cleaners were hired on Monday.
Hernandez has not been ruled out as a suspect in the murder of a 27-year-old semi-pro football player Odin Lloyd. He was reported to be a friend of Hernandez.
Hernandez has been at the center of the investigation since Lloyd’s body was found shot in the back of the head in a scrubby clearing of an industrial park roughly a mile from the Patriots star’s million-dollar mansion in North Attleborough Monday.
Police believe Lloyd was killed between 1 a.m. and 6 a.m. Monday, but his well dressed body was not found until 5:30 p.m. by a teenage jogger.
