Patriots Taking An Interest In Free Agent WR Mike Wallace

With the future of wide out Wes Welker uncertain with the Pats, the team is keeping an open mind about maybe adding Steelers free agent WR Mike Wallace.

Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald cites an agent in reporting the Patriots “have some interest” in Wallace.

The Dolphins and Vikings are thought to be the top suitors for Wallace and it is doubtful the Patriots would get involved in a bidding war over Wallace.

Last season the Steelers tried to get Wallace to ink a new deal, but he wanted the type of money Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald got in his last deal, and the Steelers instead paid WR Antonio Brown.
