Sunday’s game was one of the most stunning finishes in the history of Ravens football, but at the end of the day, the Ravens should have taken home the win.
Monday the NFL admitted it.
The Jags, as everyone knows, was given an extra play at the end of the game after the clock hit :00 due to a facemask penalty on Ravens linebacker Elvis Dumervil.
That extra play ended up being a 53-yard field goal by Jason Myers, which was good and gave the Jaguars the shocking win to send the reeling Ravens to 2-7 when they should be 3-6.
The mistake the NFL admitted to today would have made the facemask null and void. The league stated that the Jaguars should’ve been called for a false start on the play in which the penalty on Dumervil took place.
