New York Jets Director of Player Personnel Brian Heimerdinger a Name to Watch in Oakland as Possible New GM

The Raiders have already made one major move this week, as they canned general manager Reggie McKenzie one day after the team scored a huge home upset over the Steelers.

They are now on the search for a new voice, and one name that you will want to watch out for is Jets director of player personnel Brian Heimerdinger, this according to Charles Robinson of Yahoo Sports.

Robinson says that it’s not clear if the Raiders job will have any sort of allure around the NFL, especially given that most executives will see the gig as nothing short of being Jon Gruden‘s “puppet master.”

Heimerdinger, for his part, is currently in his third season with New York after previously spending time with the Rams and Texans.
