Giants safety Landon Collins has been ruled out for Sunday with a left shoulder injury, Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News has confirmed.
And after Collins underwent further testing on his shoulder Monday, surgery is considered a possibility and he could miss the rest of the season.
This comes despite Collins saying after Sunday’s overtime win over the Bears that initial X-Rays had shown no fracture in the shoulder he injured on a hit of Chicago running back Tarik Cohen.
Collins said Sunday he was just “real sore” after the second-quarter hit on Cohen.
The two-time Pro Bowler missed snaps after the injury, explaining it’s tough to tackle with a bum shoulder.
