New York Giants Rookie QB Daniel Jones Has a Twisted Ankle

In his Monday morning press conference, Giants head coach Pat Shurmur said rookie quarterback Daniel Jones “got his ankle twisted” in Sunday’s loss to the Packers according to Ralph Vacchiano of SNY.com.

Shurmur reaffirmed Jones is “fine” and Eli Manning is “ready” if called upon. Jones is still expected to practice this week and play Monday night against the Philadelphia Eagles.

With 11 picks and a ‘dimes’ worth of lost fumbles in his 11 starts, Jones’ ankle injury obviously needs to be monitored since any limitations would make Philly’s defense a top-end streaming unit for the first round of the fantasy playoffs.
