New Tampa Bay DT Ndamukong Suh Pumped About Playing for Bruce Arians

New Buccaneers defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh signed with the team without either visiting or working out as he is currently in France celebrating his recent engagement but nevertheless he says he is excited at the prospect of playing for defensive coordinator Todd Bowles and head coach Bruce Arians according to Michael David Smith of Pro Football Talk.com.

In attendance at the French Open, Suh talked to Tennis Channel, and he said he thinks he can be part of a change in the culture in Tampa.

“I’m very excited,” Suh said. “I actually had the opportunity to talk very deeply with coach Todd Bowles, as well as Bruce Arians, two elite coaches that I’ve had great interactions with in years past. I like being part of things you can build, and be able to put them over the top. Hopefully my talent, as well as all the other guys — former Nebraskans, Lavonte David — we can play together and change the game there, and get us to a winning situation.”

The 32-year-old Suh went t0o the Super Bowl as a member of the Los Angeles Rams last season but drew surprisingly little interest on the free agent market before signing his one-year, $9.25 million contract to join the Bucs on May 21. He should be a great fit for Bowles’ defensive scheme.
