While the Patriots are 8-0 and steam rolling through the AFC this season, the team still is missing production from the tight end position, as this season they have had just 14 receptions from their tight ends, scoring just once.
That could change today with the trade deadline in the NFL upon us, as the team is showing interest in Cincinnati Bengals tight end Tyler Eifert.
Jeff Howe of The Athletic tweeted out today that the Pats are indeed one the teams looking at Eifert:
The Patriots are among the teams that have shown the most interest in Bengals tight end Tyler Eifert, per source. Not sure if the Bengals will relax the price enough to trade him.
This season Eifert has 23 receptions for 192 yards and one touchdown for the 0-8 Bengals, who sound like they could move just about any player as they look towards the future.
