The Pack today said ‘so long’ to injured linebacker Desmond Bishop, and there’s already chatter that the Vikings, who need help at that position, will talk with Bishop.
It was about an hour before he was released, Bishop said on the Twitter he was done.
“So much fun, so many memories & friendships forged in Green Bay,” Bishop tweeted. “Ups & downs, wins & losses! Even a XLV championship. Forever grateful #Pack”
Bishop confirmed he’ll talk to the Vikings, and said there’s a couple other teams that are interested.
The LB was a starter in the Packers’ Super Bowl season of 2010 and again in 2011.
Over those two seasons, he had eight sacks, four forces fumbles and an interception.
He missed all of last season with a torn hamstring suffered in the preseason.
