The Dolphins have signed defensive back Eric Rowe to a three-year, $18 million extension through 2022 according to Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald.
The deal includes $7 million in guaranteed money. Originally a second-round pick out of Utah by the Philadelphia Eagles in 2015, Rowe spent the past three seasons as a member of the Patriots but followed his former defensive coordinator Brian Flores to Miami last spring.
He has played well since moving to safety and has been one of the few defensive bright spots for the Dolphins in an otherwise dismal season.
Rowe racked up five total tackles and a pass deflection in the Dolphins’ upset victory over the Eagles in Week 13.
