Mark Schlereth Rips Tebow Without Realizing Mic Is On; Dunks For Sunday Afternoon

Recently, ESPN’s Mark Schlereth let Hannah Storm know what he thinks of New York Jets QB Tim Tebow. Mark thinks he can’t play H-back or tight end.

Storm: The what?

Schlereth: It’s like a tight-end/h-back?

Storm: Oh yeaaaah. Well that’s interesting.

Schlereth: But I’m going to tell you. I talked to a bunch of Broncos coaches who said ‘I just don’t know if he’s a fluid enough athlete to go over and play tight end … they say he doesn’t catch the ball naturally either

Storm: Well if that’s the case. Ohh. (hears producer in ear piece) OK, OK. Sure, sure.

Producer: OK, standby guys.

Don’t forget that Schlereth’s Broncos were caught cheating the salary cap to assemble their championship teams. You wonder if he’d be given his ESPN jobs if not for the benefits from that infraction. It’s not that Schlereth and those coaches are wrong. I am just wondering if there is some glee that permeates the prophecies of doom that people put on Tim Tebow. And, perhaps, Tebow does not do enough to quell the hysteria that follows him. I hope he eventually gets a chance because I know there are certain throws from certain formations that he was successful at in college but hasn’t been allowed to do in the pros. I believe it would be best for him to go to Arena Football League first and prove himself as a great dual threat and timing passer.

Dunks For Sunday Afternoon

Check out Denver Nuggets F Javale McGee’s impressive dunk vs. James Harden’s Houston Rockets. The Nuggets, behind Danilo Gallinari’s 27 spot, were victorious in their fifth straight contest (and have since won their sixth straight), 118-110. Kenneth “Manimal” Faried added and 19 and 9. For Houston, Jeremy Lin had 22 points, 5 assists and 1 turnover with a +/- of -5, and Omar Asik had 10 points, 18 rebounds, and a +/- of +8.

Here is Colorado State’s Dorian Green clowning on the Boise State Broncos with a dunk.

It’s Marshawn Powell from Arkansas, with an even better dunk (it was waved off for an offensive foul) vs. the Mississippi State Bulldogs.

And, here is maybe the most ridiculous dunk I’ve seen in 2013. Eastern Kentucky Colonels player Marcus Lewis dunks on an inbound pass in their 81-72 victory over the Southeast Missouri State Redhawks.

Hit “Like” if you think Tim Tebow will eventually start and win another NFL game (or share the link with friends if you like dunks)!
