Join Our Team

The Sports Gab Network is looking to expand its coverage on a variety of topics, and we’re currently looking for individuals who are knowledgeable in a particular area and are interested in sharing their opinions with our audience. These individuals will start as non-paid resources but as opportunities present themselves, we believe that there will be plenty of opportunity for compensation.

As millions of job seekers will confirm, gaining experience to add to a resume is often worth its weight in gold. For anyone interested in getting paid to work in the media, this presents a great opportunity to prove ones worth.

Any interested individuals should contact us and indicate what team(s) they’re interested in writing about, as well as providing a few sentences to describe their background, including (but not limited to) the following:

  • What part of the world they live in (closest city)
  • What level of education they have (no discrimination here, just curious)
  • Their favorite teams, athletes, etc.
  • A brief explanation (not a sample) of your writing experience – Wwhether you’ve written for other websites / publications, school essays / research papers, debate team, creative writing venues. Anything where you take research or opinion or creativity and put it into a readable format
  • Availability – Can you write an article once a week / day / month? Are you interested in weekly “round-ups”? Are you open to our staff sending you article requests, or do you prefer to write articles solely when you come up with the topic on your own?

Thank you for your interest!

  1. I live in Orlando. I can cover a Tampa Bay, a Jacksonville, or a Miami story. Any topic is okay with me. I am a frequent blogger (writing) on my site.

  2. I hope the fine to the Steeler player that took the cheap shot on the punter has the same impact to him as the possible career ending broken jaw that the helmet to the chin had to the punter. No excuse for the helmet to chin shot…

  3. My name is Jonathan. I enjoy writing about all kinds of great angles from the NFL world. I am a New York Giants fan living in San Diego. I graduated with a BS in CJ Summa Cum Laude from Liberty University a little while ago but my passion has always been the NFL and journalism. I could contribute an article a week or month as I enjoy looking at many different angles on NFL topics. I recently also ventured into the sports blogging universe on my website, nflblogland.com, and am really enjoying it! As I know I have much to learn and I’m still a neophyte with online writing I look forward to an opportunity to do this on a bigger strange and improve my abilities. Thanks for the time!

  4. Sorry I entered the wrong email address. It is actually posse911@hotmail.com.

Hope to hear from you guys!

  5. I am a diehard Tennessee Titans fan, I live in Virginia Beach so I can also cover Redskins. I get immediate updates for titans as well as numerous other NFL teams. I am young, up to date and just love the game of football. I am currently a sophomore in High School, but I one day hope to earn a degree in Sports Management and or Sports Illustrating. I do articles in my school newspaper about sports teams and would love to do articles on this website as much as possible. I could probably get up to three articles a week if needed, but just let me know if I can start. Hope to hear from you soon!

  7. My preview of tonight’s game.

On paper, New England is better suited overall model than the Slowly surging Seahawks.
And honestly, they are the last team that Pete Carroll wants to play on the road. But don’t think handing him 7.5 points doesn’t play on his pride and his teams. There will be no lack of motivation for one of the leagues best and most opportunistic defenses.

Personally, I like to look at a few factors when hedging my bets.

    1. The Last two games played by each team and the quality of the competition.

New England has notched off two comfortable wins versus mid quality opponents.

Seattle has taken a win and a loss. Both ways stayed with in a touch down.

    Advantage: 1.5 points New England

    2. Common opponents. Both teams handled the Bills at home. Seattle by a more narrow margin.

    Advantage: 1 point NE

However, NE suffered their worst home defeat in the BB era the FIRST time they played Bills earlier this season. Give BB a 2nd shot at any team and the outcome will vary the polar opposite.

Advantage: Seattle 1 point for the element of surprise.

    3. Coaching, preparation and capabilities of making effective adjustments. I give a slight edge to NE. Especially with a extra set of Binaculars. 😉

    Advantage: .5 points to NE

    4. The Home teams home record versus the away teams road record. Advantage NE.

    Advantage: 1 point to NE

    5. Historic ats meetings between the two teams.

    Dogs Rule the day.

    Advantage: 1 point Seattle

    6. QB comparison. There is none.

    Advantage: 2 points for NE

    7. Key player injuries. NE is a little more banged up, but no significant players “out” per each team.

    Advantage: .5 points Seattle

    8. Offense sells tickets defense wins games and championships. Both teams are giving up a league low 16.5 & 16.8 respectively.

    Advantage: Even

    9. Playmakers.

    Advantage: NE .5

    10. The X factor. Has vegas done their job?

When 8 out of 10 of your friends and or TV analyst are leaning towards one team in particular. Then that means the public and pros have taken the bait. So it usually goes the other way. In the sense of ATS. Big name teams draw more money and bets. Naturally vegas is keyed in on this game.

Also the recent line movement. Notice 7.5 was to test the waters early with Seattle buy power. Now a few off shore sports bets have moved the line to 8. That’s called a pull. Again, A bogus sign to the uninformed public that the money is staying with the home team.

But not so fast Vegas! Hey we will take al the points you will give us.

    Advantage: Seattle 1 point

So let’s Total up the points and see how the stars might be aligning for tonight’s big game.

    Seattle: 3.5 points

    New England: 6.5

That means the line should actually be NE -3

The better kicker and ability to hang on to the ball, wins the prize for the day.

My opinion and Final prediction: New England notches up thier toughest victory this year. A hard fought battle with just a few points for the winner to spare at the end of the day.

    New England wins: 24-20

Take Seattle and all the points vegas wants to give you.

(Yea I get it. I know what you all are thinking right about now. Who the hell does this guy think he is? I’m a nobody. like you, I Just have a love for americas favorite past time and a passion for beating Vegas at thier own game. 🙂

If you made it this far, thank you for taking the time to read my thoughts and opinion on tonight’s game.

Now, based off a year of sub par prime time match ups. I plan to hunker down pretty close to the TV for tonight’s game. Enjoy!!!!
