A Jets LB who appeared in 12 games this season is in trouble, as Bryan Thomas is applying for admission into a probation program that requires no admission of guilt after being accused of assaulting his wife and possessing marijuana paraphernalia and painkillers.

Thomas, 33, of Randolph, was arrested by township police after an incident on Oct. 31, according to records on file in Superior Court in Morristown. The most-tenured Jet on the team’s 2012 roster, Thomas’ contract with the team will expire in March.

He was charged with possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia after police allegedly found in his possession a Havannah hookah, a Phillies Blunt cigar box, a pack of Zig Zag rolling papers commonly used to smoke marijuana and six small glass vials commonly used to store marijuana, according to court papers.

He was also charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance following the alleged discovery by police of 20 tablets suspected to be the prescription painkiller hydrocodone, court papers said.

The complaint against Thomas was filed during a bye week in the Jets schedule. Thomas played Nov. 11, the Jets’ next game, and had his best game of the season, leading the team with seven tackles.

A Jets team spokesman said: “We are aware of the report. This is a pending legal matter and we will reserve comment until the legal process has run its course.”
