It’s been a long road back, but for defensive end J.J. Watt, the timing couldn’t be any better.
The Texans star is back, as on Tuesday the team added him to the 53-man roster, a move that signals that he should be able to go Saturday in the AFC Wild Card Game between the Bills and Texans in Houston.
Watt was not able to take the field for the final eight games of the season with a torn pectoral, but resumed practicing before the end of the regular season.
With Watt back the team had to make a roster move, and they did that by placing safety Tashaun Gipson on IR. This season Gipson put up 51 tackles and three interceptions while starting 14 games.
