Gridiron Gab NFC Wild Card Preview: Seattle At Washington

The Washington Redskins and Seattle Seahawks battle in the final game of the weekend in DC, in a game that many think will come down to the wire.  The Skins have been the hottest team in the NFC, but enter the game as a home underdog.

Can the Redskins repeat the run game of Alfred Morris from a week ago, when he bruised the Cowboys for over 200 yards? If he even goes for 100 yards vs Seattle, I think the Skins will win this game.

The Hawks have to make RGIII pay every time he tries to take off with the ball. Seattle has a good pass rush, but collapsing the pocket isn’t going to be as easy as keeping Griffin from escaping the pressure and getting out of the pocket to run.

For the Seahawks, they have to punish the Redskins with a run game led by Marshawn Lynch. If Lynch can get some of the pressure off the Skins ability to get to Russell Wilson, I think Seattle will put up 20 points in this game.

With that said though, RGIII and the Skins seem like a team of destiny right now, and the country is excited to see this young man continue his ride. I think RGIII outplays Wilson, and the Redskins get to round two with a close win.

Washington 24 Seattle 20
