Falcons running back Devonta Freeman is participating in OTAs this week according to Kelsey Conway of atlantafalcons.com.
And Conway says he is looking like his usual explosive self. It is not a complete surprise as head coach Dan Quinn said Freeman would be a full-go by training camp but it is still a welcome sight after the 27-year-old’s disastrous 2018 season.
Freeman suffered knee, groin, and foot injuries in what ultimately resulted in a lost two-game campaign and the Falcons offense suffered mightily without him.
With Tevin Coleman gone to the 49ers, Freeman projects to take over as the clear lead back in one of the best offenses in the league. He is hoping to return to the former that led to 1,000-yard+ campaigns in 2015 and 2016.
