Davone Bess May Become a Cleveland Brown Soon

ESPN Cleveland is reporting Miami Dolphins WR Davone Bess – who led the Dolphins in receptions in 2009 – is probably getting traded to the Cleveland Browns for multiple mid-round selections over the next 17 hours or so. There are also rumors that the Browns are attempting to move up to #3 (the Oakland Raiders pick).

Other teams interested in Bess could be what is holding up the deal.

The Dolphins are no longer starving in the passing game, as they have three players who’ve led their respective teams in receptions for at least one season in their time in the NFL (WR Mike Wallace with the Pittsburgh Steelers, WR Brian Hartline with the Dolphins, TE Dustin Keller with the New York Jets).

Davone Bess is a hard worker and a great leader. His interaction and example would be nearly as beneficial to the Browns and their young WRs, as his slot ability would be.

Hit “Like” if you think the Browns would have a great receiving corps with Josh Gordon, Greg Little, Davone Bess and Travis Benjamin!
