Sunday the Ravens have a shot at revenge against the Patriots, but also they have their sights set on sending Ray Lewis out a winner not only beating New England, but taking home the Lombardi at Super Bowl XLVII.
We know that Lewis is gone, but could two more high profile Ravens join him if they are able to win a second Super Bowl in Baltimore?
The first Raven that could easily join Lewis is safety Ed Reed. Let’s face it, Reed hasn’t been the same this season, has battled injuries over the past few years, and at 34, it could be his last ride.
Then there’s the wild card in the mix, that being linebacker Terrell Suggs. The 30-year-old tore his achilles tendon this past offseason, but returned and has been trying to regain that Defensive Player of the Year presence like he had in 2011.
Suggs already has the most career sacks (83.5) for a Raven, and has little left to prove with Baltimore.
So could he, Lewis and Reed all go out on top?
Stranger things have happened. If the Ravens win it – why not?
