With the draft closing in, the Chiefs finally seem to have a plan in mind with the first overall pick.
Charean Williams of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram states that Texas A&M offensive tackle Luke Joeckel has been notified that he’s NOT the first overall pick, and that the Chiefs instead are going with Central Michigan offensive tackle Eric Fisher.
For months, it was widely reported that Kansas City would go with either Joeckel or Fisher when the team hit the clock for the first round of the draft, but many speculated that it was Joeckel who would hear his name called first. Jay Glazer of Fox Sports reported Wednesday evening that he believed the Chiefs would go with Fisher.
