With Andy Reid and a new regime in KC, the Chiefs Monday made a couple big signings they hope will make the team much better going forward.
The first move was the team extending the contract of Pro Bowl punter Dustin Colquitt, giving him a deal worth $18.75 million, including $8.9 million in guaranteed money.
The team then avoided using the franchise tag on WR Dwayne Bowe, handing him a massive five-year deal that is going to for sure make him one of the highest paid WR’s in the game.
Bowe has 415 receptions, 5,728 yards and 39 touchdowns, ranking at or near the Top 5 in franchise history in all three statistical categories.
The Chiefs also Monday gave the franchise tag to left tackle Branden Albert.
