Chargers Coach McCoy Feels Fortunate To Have Rivers At QB

Chargers head coach Mike McCoy knows the importance of having a franchise quarterback, having worked with both Peyton Manning and Tim Tebow.

McCoy joined the Dave Logan Show on KOA in Denver by way of Sportsradiointerviews to discuss his confidence in Philip Rivers as the Chargers’ franchise quarterback, the process that led to him being hired in San Diego and the importance of having a franchise quarterback in this league.

“I think Philip’s gonna do a great job with us,” McCoy said. “We’re very fortunate to have him here. A very talented player and a great guy to have as the face of your franchise.”

“In this league you’ve gotta have a franchise quarterback to have a good opportunity to do great things. So it’s gonna start there.”
