Carolina Panthers QB Cam Newton “Slated to Be a Full Participant” Once Camp Opens

Panthers quarterback Cam Newton is “slated to be a full participant” when training camp opens in late July according to Brendan Marks of the Charlotte Observer.

That was always the goal when Newton underwent shoulder surgery in January and he appeared to be right on track in his recovery when he was cleared to throw at the June minicamp.

Nothing can be taken for granted, but it appears as if Newton will be 100 percent well before Week one.

If Newton can stay healthy and maintain is new throwing motion, the Panthers are a good bet to rebound from a disappointing 2018 season.
