The Cardinals and Chiefs pulled off a rare NFL trade on Thursday.
Arizona moved fullback Anthony Sherman to the Chiefs, while KC gave in return cornerback Javier Arenas back to the Cardinals.
Sherman was a fifth-round pick of the Cardinals back in 2011, and appeared in 28 games in the regular season. He had just one carry for three yards, but caught 13 passes for 111 yards.
For now the Cardinals don’t have a fullback on the roster.
As for Arenas, he was a draft choice for the Chiefs in the second-round of the 2010 draft out of Alabama. Last season he had 53 solo tackles and one forced fumble in 16 games played. He also logged 204 yards in kickoff returns and 297 yards in punt returns on special teams.
