Browns DE Myles Garrett’s Suspension Stands, to Sit at Least the Rest of 2019

The NFL announced on Thursday that the suspension to Browns defensive end Myles Garrett will stand, and he will sit indefinitely.

On the other side, Steelers center Markuice Pouncey’s three game suspension has been reduced down to two games, still keeping him out of the Browns-Steelers rematch next Sunday at Heinz Field.

Garrett’s decision was made by appeals officer James Thrash after sitting for two hours in New York on Wednesday in a meeting that included Garrett’s parents.

The suspension means he will not play and will not be paid for the rest of the 2019 season. Garrett will have to meet with the commissioner’s office before being reinstated.

Garrett’s claim that Rudolph used a ‘racial slur’ at some point prior to the fight was also addressed by the league, which stated that the league “found no such evidence” that Rudolph used any such slur.
