As the Falcons get set for a NFC South showdown with the Saints on Sunday, they were busy on Saturday making some roster moves.
The team announced that they have inked offensive linemen Sean Harlow from the practice squad to the active roster, and have placed second-year running back Ito Smith on injured reserve.
Harlow was a fourth-round draft choice of the Falcons in the 2017 NFL Draft. He has been on the team’s practice squad, and the move comes one day after the Falcons declared reserve offensive lineman Wes Schweitzer out for Sunday’s game due to a concussion.
As for Smith, he was second on the team’s depth chart entering the year, and overall has 106 yards rushing with a score on 22 carries.
He suffered a concussion against the Rams and hasn’t taken the field since. With Smith on IR, you can expect to see more of Brian Hill getting chances on the team’s offense.
