Atlanta Falcons DL Michael Bennett Breaks Ankle First Day of Camp

Falcons defensive lineman Michael Bennett is out indefinitely with a broken ankle according to Ian Rapoport of NFL.com.

Originally a fifth-round pick out of Ohio State by the Jacksonville Jaguars, Bennett was signed by the Falcons last October in the wake of a rash of defensive line injuries.

Getting hurt this early in training camp is a brutal break for a lineman on the fringe of the roster. Since he actually got hurt at camp, he is not eligible for the PUP list but may end up on injured reserve.
