Are the New York Jets Already Screwing Up What Could Be a Good 2019 Season?

It’s been a memorable week for the New York Jets, a team that is trying very hard to put 2018 behind them after a forgettable 4-12 campaign.

Gone is head coach Todd Bowles, and the team went on a spending spree to the point where they spent $200 million dollars.

Even with the new players on the roster, many sites don’t seem to think the Jets are going to make much of an impact this season.

A 4njbets bonus code 2019 is probably the best place to go if you think otherwise of that fact, but the team is still a work in progress, and maybe not the right way after they announced on Wednesday that they have canned general manager Mike Maccagnan.

Jets chairman and CEO Christopher Johnson made the move, a bizarre move after allowing the GM to go out and spend as much money as he did on a variety of free agents.

Adam Gase was brought in to be the team’s new coach after a 7-9 season in Miami where players flipped out on him and many didn’t like the way he coached.

That didn’t matter to Johnson, who not only made Gase the coach, but also after Maccagnan’s dismissal gave the coach more power as the interim GM.

Then there was the rumor after Maccagnan’s firing that the team may already be shopping one of their biggest free agents, that being running back Le’Veon Bell.

Can you imagine inking Bell for a huge deal and now it’s all coming out that Gase and Maccagnan were never on the same page about wanting him anyway.

NFL insider John Clayton stated in regards to Bell that “if there’s a suitor, I could absolutely see the Jets trading him before the start of the season.”

The Jets do have one thing going for them, that being a good looking young quarterback in Sam Darnold, who did enough in his first season to make it known that he’s the guy for the future.

Now it remains to be seen if Gase really likes Darnold, or if the young QB doesn’t have success early that he’s going to look for an alternative.

Last season Gase made some confusing moves with the Dolphins lineup, and Jets fans in the biggest media market in the world are not going to wait long to come after him if he makes moves they don’t agree with.

Look for a lot more drama before it’s over for the Jets as they look to get ready for 2019.

They need stability, and after a tough week with plenty of odd moves, this team needs a week where they settle some things with a fan base that won’t stay patient very long.
