Peyton Manning wants to play for the Texans, says Bob Allen of KTRK-TV in Houston. This may be a similar desire to that of Brett Favre, who fairly assuredly wanted to be a Viking to try to stick it to the Packers.
“I know for a fact that he does have a definite interest in the Texans,” Allen contends. There may be 9-10 teams that fit Manning’s criteria.
Manning would be joining some elite company in Houston. Texans WR Andre Johnson has led the NFL in receiving yards per game 3 times – 2007, 2009, and 2010 – and also led the NFL in receiving yards in 2008 and 2009. Arian Foster led the NFL in rushing yards and TDs in 2010.
