The Redskins have re-signed cornerback Brandyn Thompson, the team’s 7th round pick from the 2011 draft out of Boise State, to the active roster.
Thompson had originally made the 53 man roster before the regular season, but was released and re-signed to the practice squad when the Redskins activated the suspended and injured Phillip Buchanon.
To make room for Thompson, the Redskins released offensive lineman Jonathan Compas, who was just signed two days ago but reportedly didn’t impress the coaching staff enough to merit a stay for any longer.
