
According to Jason LaCanfora of the NFL Network, rumblings persist that the Redskins want to move up in the draft to ensure they land a top-flight quarterback.
Several general managers believe the Redskins, who are expected to cut ties with veteran Donovan McNabb, will make the move to land Missouri’s Blaine Gabbert.
The Redskins have strong reports on Gabbert and University of Washington quarterback Jake Locker, and some inside the organization believe Gabbert is worthy of the No. 1 pick. It is definitely possible that Gabbert would still be available if the Redskins stay at No.10 but the Shanahan braintrust may not want to take that chance. If they don’t make a move, Locker will certainly be there at No.10.
