Bucs center Jeff Faine expects to miss four-to-six weeks with his quadriceps injury, Stephen Holder of the St. Petersburg Times reports. Faine pulled his quadriceps during Sunday’s win over the Bengals, but the injury is not believed to be season-ending.
Third-year guard Jeremy Zuttah replaced Faine and is expected to start this Sunday against the Saints. Ted Larsen, a sixth-round pick out of North Carolina State in April by the Patriots, may compete with Zuttah for the starting center job while Faine is on the mend.
