While Seattle’s two first-round picks, left tackle Russell Okung and safety Earl Thomas, remain unsigned, the Seahawks received good news today.
According to Seattle TimesSeahawks beat writer Danny O’Neil, running back Leon Washington and rookie cornerback Walter Thurmond are practicing with the team. Washington had been limited to running straight lines during the offseason while recovering from a broken leg suffered last season as a member of the New York Jets. Thurmond suffered a knee injury last year that ended his season while playing collegiately for the University of Oregon.
Also per O’Neil, the team placed three on its Physically Unable to Perform list: fullback Owen Schmitt, cornerback Josh Pinkard and newly-signed offensive lineman Chester Pitts.
