Saints to host Minnesota in season opener

Commissioner Roger Goodell confirmed, via an NFL.com live chat today, that the Vikings will open the NFL Season by heading to New Orleans to face the Super Bowl Champs.

The game will take place on Thursday, September 9th.

The game has all the makings of a drama-filled matchup as the Saints ultimately were responsible for the demise of the 2009 Vikings in an overtime nail biting NFC Championship game.
