FOX Sports’ Jay Glazer reportsthat defensive end Darryl Tapp has been traded to the Philadelphia Eagles for a draft pick and linebacker/defensive end Chris Clemons.
Danny O’Neil of the Seattle Times got clarification of the draft pick, reporting it as a fourth-round selection.
The trade comes shortly after it was announced that Tapp had signed a one-year offer to remain in Seattle. That announcement came Monday.
In other news, ProFootballTalk reports that guard Rob Sims will be the next to leave the Emerald City. Sims is a restricted free agent worth a fourth-round pick. The ProFootballTalk report indicates Cleveland and former Seahawks head coach Mike Holmgren are in the running to sign Sims.
