As was reported earlier today by NFL Gridiron Gab’s Matt Loede, Minnesota Vikings head coach Brad Childress was mulling over a contract extension offered by the team. What was a possibility has become a reality as the Associated Press is reporting that Childress has indeed been signed by the team to a contract extension.

Terms of the deal were not available as of this post, but ESPN earlier reported that the extension would keep Childress in Minnesota through the 2013 season.
