The Kansas City Chiefs have released running back Larry Johnson. He was suspended by the team for using a gay slur recently on his Twitter account. He had stated an apology, but the team was tired of his antics and decided to cut ties with him all together.
“I regret my actions. The words were used by me in frustration, and they were not appropriate,” Johnson said about his slur used on his Twitter account. “I did not intend to offend anyone, but that is no excuse for what I said.”
In 7 games this year Johnson had rushed for 358 yards and 0 touchdowns. Last season he ran for 874 yards and five scores.

Larry – don’t worry about all the bad press. You can overcome that, by simply creating a new level of press coverage for yourself. What does every football fan love? That’s right, CHEERLEADERS! Get with your publicist to create a “Hire Me” video, complete with your 2009 highlight (I’m sure there’s one somewhere), and a bunch of scantily-clad vixens smiling and waving whatever they have to wave. Easy stuff! I can almost hear the girls now….

Was expecting him to get released soon. Glad he didn’t get the rushing record, I liked Priest Holmes a lot more.
