Eagles QB McNabb to Weak a Flak Jacket the Rest of the Year
Posted by Matt Loede under Philadelphia Eagles

Seems that QB Donovan McNabb’s rib isn’t going to be 100 percent for some time, and because of it, Fox Sports reports that the QB will wear a flak jacket for protection for the rest of the season.
The rib that quarterback Donovan McNabb fractured in Week 1 still hasn’t completely healed, but it isn’t giving him any problems. “I don’t feel it much during games. Maybe (when I’m) sleeping a little bit or after games.” Andy Reid said McNabb will wear a flak jacket to protect the rib for the rest of the season.
That of course means the pressure will be on the O-line, as it will be up to them to protect their leader and keep him on his feet.

I have always wondered how much protection a flak jacket offers football players. It’s not as though they’re getting shot, is it?
