The Raiders were back to being, well…the Raiders, on Sunday as the team was crushed by the Jets 38-0. It was the most lopsided home loss in team history. This came just seven days after the team looked like it just might be turning the corner vs the Eagles in a big win.
Sunday the issues once again started with QB JaMarcus Russell, who committed three turnovers – a fumble on the game’s first play and an interception that set the Jets up at Oakland’s 4-yard line both times and a pick in the Jets’ end zone.
Russell was 6-for-11 for 61 yards with two picks, yet didn’t seem to want to take any type of blame for the lackluster outing and setback. “The first interception was a matter of a guy coming across my face and getting to the spot,” he said. “I tried to get it down but it was too late. As far as the second (pick), I thought I gave the guy a chance to make a play on the ball … had a 50-50 chance.”
Coach Tom Cable, who sat Russell, said that “the first play of the game he could not get the formation lined up the right way.” What that says is the coach and QB, who just seems to not be making much in the way of progress, as once again seeing things differently, and that’s not good. Again.

please get jamarcus russell out of there!!!!!!he has 2 guys ready and willing to help him and he has no vision. what is his problem besides demanding more money than he is worth! lots of fans are giving up on the team because of him, while others on the team are busting their ass, not fair to anyone!
You should have took Vick when you had the chance…oh well.
Wow! The Raiders fans are really loyal to this team. As a Charger fan, I love talking to Raider fans. Raider Fan! Keep the Faith, you can always look forward to next year with Russell. He can only get a little better.
