Former Ravens and Browns kicker Matt Stover was signed by the Indianapolis Colts today to replace injured kicker Adam Viniateri.
Vinatieri is out for four to eight weeks following knee surgery
The team said Vinatieri underwent arthroscopic surgery on his right knee to remove a piece of cartilage. That is the 14- year veterans kicking leg.
Stover, a 19-year veteran, has 462 career field goals and 561 PATs in 287 career games. Stover was originally drafted by the New York Giants in 1990 with the 329th overall pick. He attended Louisiana Tech University.
