The Dallas Cowboys’ offense took a big hit as neither wide receiver Roy Williams nor running back Felix Jones flew with the team to Kansas City for the team’s game Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs; both have been listed as out, a downgrade from doubtful.
Williams’ injury took place last week when he was hit by Denver Broncos linebacker D.J. Williams attempting to reach a high pass thrown by QB Tony Romo; Williams has not practiced all week, hence his not making the flight to Kansas City. Miles Austin will take Williams’ place in the starting lineup for the short-term.
It is less certain how Jones suffered his knee injury; look for Marion Barber to take on a bigger load with an occasional appearance by Tashard Choice during the game Sunday.
